Mile End Mauritanian restaurant la Khaima launches their eighth annual Festival Nomade, celebrating arts, culture, food and sustainable development with a five-day long program beginning this evening with Génération nomade, an evening of painting, music and flavour. 142 Fairmount W., 7 p.m., by donation

Montreal’s Bouteloua Collective hosts monthly events in support of a variety of Indigenous solidarity causes, and tonight they’re throwing a benefit show at Bar le Ritz PDB to raise money for the Chaudière Falls Resistance fund, with music by Mich Cota, Year of Glad, Mauno, Ora Cogan, Inland Island and Margret. 179 Jean-Talon W., 8 p.m., $10
