Czech-based bag manufacturers Playbag arrive in Montreal for a two-day pop-up shop at Espace POP, where you can find fine handcrafted bags, backpacks and other accessories in leather and vegan options, available for the first time in North America. 5587 Parc, 10 a.m.–11 p.m., continues through Thursday

The Cinémathèque screens King Hu’s Touch of Zen, a 1971 Taiwanese wuxia film credited with being a huge inspiration on Chinese and Taiwanese directors like Ang Lee (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) and Zhang Yimou (House of Flying Daggers). Villeray’s Espace Projet hosts the first evening of their new series Lieu Commun, which will focus on giving the public a chance to hear live music by Montreal’s under-known experimental composers.
