Over 200 indie publishers will be on hand at the annual small press fair Expozine this weekend, offering up a wide range of fiction, non-fiction, graphic novels, books, zines and art. Note that the event happening in a different church this year: Église St-Denis. 5075 Rivard, 11 a.m.–6 p.m. today and Sunday, free entry

Dozens of hobby chefs and foodies will be sharing their favourite recipes with the public in parks, sidewalks, alleyways and other public spaces all over town during today’s edition of Restaurant Day, the quarterly multi-city food fest. Head to the Belgo building for a couple of vernissages this afternoon, including the group show The Digital Cliff at Projet Pangée (#412) with Montreal, Toronto and New York-based artists, and Montreal artist Karen Tam’s new exhibition Silk Road: Storm-Detectors, Blood-Sweating Horses, and Constellations at Galerie Hugues Charbonneau (#308). 372 Ste-Catherine W., 3–6 p.m., free

Virginian dream pop band Wild Nothing play SAT with Brooklyn indie rockers Small Black. 1201 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $22.50/$26

A couple of notable LGBT events are happening tonight: The eighth anniversary edition of the monthly bash Mec Plus Ultra (with DJs Franz, Montag and Diskommander) goes down tonight at le Belmont (4483 St-Laurent, 10 p.m., $5 before 11 p.m./$8); and tonight’s edition of Glitter Bomb, with DJs Awwful and Jeffany doubles as a fundraiser for the Prisoner Correspondence Project (Bar le Ritz PDB, 179 Jean-Talon W., 11 p.m., $5/PWYC).
