REVIEW: D.R.A.M.’s “Big Baby D.R.A.M.”

The “Broccoli” hitmaker asserts himself as this year’s king of anthems on his debut LP.

D.R.A.M. loves to have fun, and that’s exactly what he does on his debut album. His sound could best be described as Chance the Rapper meets Ol’ Dirty Bastard, only with stronger singing abilities! With hooks and beats that are irresistibly infectious, the “Broccoli” hitmaker asserts himself as this year’s king of anthems. For what D.R.A.M. may lack in terms of depth, he more than makes up for in charisma. It may not be the hip hop album of the year, but Big Baby D.R.A.M. is certainly a pleasant fourth-quarter surprise with major playback value. 7/10 Trial Track: “Cash Machine” (Mr. Wavvy)
