Canadian ex-pat and SNL alum Mike Myers will appear at the downtown Indigo store this evening to promote and sign copies of his new (and first ever) book, Canada, billed as “part memoir, part history and pure entertainment” by publisher Penguin Random House Canada. 1500 McGill College, 7 p.m., free

Head to Cagibi for a talk on anti-gentrification art and activism with San Francisco author Erick Lyle (SCAM zine), who curated a 2012 art exhibition in that city called Streetopia featuring thematic artworks by Swoon, Barry McGee, Emory Douglas, Monica Canilao and many more. A number of these works are now reproduced in a book, which will be on hand, plus readings from special guests, local writers and zinesters Sarah Mangle and Jeff Miller. 5490 St-Laurent, 7 p.m., $1–$4 donation suggested

Serious Beatles fans please report to Club Soda, where London West End star Daniel Taylor pays tribute to John (his work with the band and solo) with the show Lennon: Through a Glass Onion. 1225 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $42.50

Nothing like a so-bad-it’s-good cheesy horror flick to get you in the Halloween spirit, and that’s just what’s in store at tonight’s 3rd edition of Bad Lunch’s Bad Movie Night, with a (surprise) line-up of one feature-length film and three shorts selected by curator and host Daniel Rig. Secret location, 8:30 p.m., $5

Watch the debut episode of season four of APTN series Mohawk Girls — see more about this ground-breaking show our interview with co-creator Tracey Deer here. APTN, 9:30 p.m.

Tonight’s (and tomorrow night’s) Björk DJ sets may be sold out, but there are two ways to enjoy her selections and her own music: the Red Bull Music Academy is streaming tonight’s set online (you can listen here, from 10 p.m. to midnight) AND her virtual reality exhibition Björk Digital is on at DHC/ART until Nov. 12.
