Two notable vernissages are going down tonight, including for prominent Quebec artist Nicolas Baier’s exhibition Astérismes at Griffintown’s Division Gallery (2020 William, 6–9 p.m., free) and the Canadian debut for Florida-based painter Fang Ling Lee not far away at St-Henri’s BBAM! Gallery (3255 St-Jacques, 7 p.m., free).

This week’s festival of women in comedy, Ladyfest, offers two big shows tonight: First up, a stand-up showcase hosted by Emma Wilkie featuring headliner Heidi Foss, a veteran Canadian comic and screenwriter, plus Boston’s Molly Brisebois and Toronto’s Natalie Norman. Stick around after for the Pretty Feminist Comedy Show hosted by local fave Tranna Wintour plus Kirsten Finch, Nour Hadidi, Bianca Yates and more. 264 Ste-Catherine E., showtimes 8 and 10 p.m., each show $15/$10 in advance

Local Queb rap collective Alaclair Ensemble launch their brand new record Les Frères Cueilleurs at Club Soda, with the Voyage Funktastique crew opening.

Electro rapper, rawk singer, performance artist and LGBT icon Peaches plays the Rialto with openers Radiant Baby and DJ Frankie Teardrop. 5723 Parc, $28/$33

Dance hard at GOG.XO with DJ Mr. Slut spinning techno, Chicago house, new beat, industrial and EBM. Notre Dame des Quilles (32 Beaubien E.), 10 p.m., free
