PHOTOS: Osheaga style

Check out the great looks we captured at Parc Jean-Drapeau over the weekend.

With so many beautiful 20-somethings gathered in one place, Osheaga is the place to be to for people-watching (and, as Radiohead singer Thom Yorke put it near the end of their set, meeting “someone to get off with”).

It’s also nice to see a good segment of the crowd step it up: Among the samey summer dresses, crochet everything, rosey shorts (guys, please stop wearing that colour) and jean-shorts-and-crop-top combos, we spotted some flashy pieces and unique ensembles (even the occasional runway item), as well as the kind of rockin’ accessories and cool hair and make-up that kick up an average look.

This year we spotted a lot of colourful hair dyes (baby pink was pretty popular), long lacey cape-coats, floral patterns (especially on men’s tees) and people who may or may not have been actual models — or, as a member of our team theorized, aliens assuming unusually perfect human forms. There were fewer costumey get-ups this year, but we made sure to include the concept-crew who’ve become Osheaga regulars (and regulars in our galleries) and a guy we refer to as the Captain.

Here are some of the best looks we spotted over three days at Parc Jean-Drapeau:
