PHOTOS: Île Soniq shows

One of the most stunning changes to the Parc Jean-Drapeau site for the third annual edition of Evenko’s EDM festival was the main stage: the artists stood on massive raised platforms that were essentially giant screens, with a matching screen panel behind them. The effect was a little like watching an IMAX movie with a team of technicians standing in the middle of the screen. With added smoke blasts and fire and fireworks blowing out of the top of the stage, it amounted to a sick spectacle, a total sensory overload for the thousands of beautiful high people in the crowd.
