P.K. Subban

Head over to Mile End artist-run space Articule for the finissage of Montreal installation artist Jordan Loeppky-Kolesnik’s window exhibition The Nightshade Club, resembling a deconstructed restaurant with a menu ready for sampling at tonight’s event, along with an artist talk discussing the work. 262 Fairmount W., 5–7 p.m., free

The grand finale of Just for Laughs is happening tonight, and it’s a big one: P.K. Subban’s All-Star Comedy Gala is your chance to say goodbye to the Habs star player (ugh, that still stings) and see a great line-up of comics — details are scarce, but you should probably expect some of the big names who’ve performed at the festival this year, and a few total surprises. As a bonus, the P.K. Subban Foundation will be donating funds raised to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation. 175 Ste-Catherine W., 7 p.m., $64.95–$141.47

Montreal hip hop promoters Grosse chose kick off a week of programming in the first annual Grosse Semaine with a barbecue and beatbox battle at Katacombes. 1635 St-Laurent, BBQ 5 p.m., (bring your own steak), beatbox battle 8 p.m., $7

New Jersey alt-country band Pinegrove hit up Casa del Popolo tonight with openers Sports (Philly), Half Waif (Brooklyn) and locals (via Laval) Stevenson. 4873 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $15/$12 in advance

The political film series Cinéma sous les étoiles presents a free screening of Michael Moore’s Where to Invade Next at Cabot Square. Corner Ste-Catherine W. and Atwater, 8:50 p.m., free
