There are two exciting flashmob events happening today: The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever, promising a large gang of Kate Bush fans performing “Wuthering Heights” à la music video — this has been planned for months, these people are serious — at Parc Jeanne-Mance (3 p.m.), and a Bollywood flashmob in front of the Apple Store downtown (2 p.m.).

The local chapter of Black Lives Matter has organized a demo (originally scheduled for yesterday), and everyone is invited to join in. Cabot Square (Ste-Catherine W. & Atwater), 2–4 p.m.

Petite-Patrie art gallery Art Mûr hosts an afternoon vernissage for Fresh Paint / New Construction, their annual show of innovative student work from over 40 emerging artists from programs across Canada, including Vancouver’s Emily Carr University of Art + Design, Toronto’s OCAD, Halifax’s NSCAD and Montreal’s Concordia and UQAM. 5826 St-Hubert, 3–5 p.m., free

The Bunz Trading Zone online barter service launches an with a show and party (and fundraiser supporting the Mile End Mission) featuring music by Uubbuurruu, Nobro and Anemone. La Vitrola (4602 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $10 suggested

The KickDrum Summer Marathon continues with a show at the Plant featuring a slate of artists from the Oh Hi collective, including Best Fern (Alexia Avina and Nick Schofield), Squall (Tamara Sandor and Tessa Kautzman), tinycastles (Thomas Boucher and Lyndsie Alguire) plus cellist Justin Wright’s solo project, Music for Staying Warm. Mike Sallot, a DJ and Cult MTL music writer, has been holding down Saturday nights at Nouveau Palais for a few years now, but tonight he’ll play his last set at the Mile End diner — he’s moving to England! He’s invited some special guests for the occasion, including more members of the Cult MTL crew — see the details here — so swing by and grab a cocktail and some late-night eats and join the farewell party. 281 Bernard W., 10 p.m., free
