Tame Impala

It’s the final day of this weekend’s Mondial de la Bière international beer festival at Palais des Congrès, with over 140 exhibitors offering more than 500 different kinds of beer and cider for your sampling pleasure. Palais des Congrès (201 Viger W.), 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m., free entry, tasting coupons $1 each (samples cost between two and eight coupons apiece)

Dozens of choreographers from Montreal and across Canada converge on Club Soda tonight for the sixth annual Articien Choreographers’ Showcase featuring innovative performances from a variety of dance styles with participants from dance studios including Urban Elements, Tripoli Studios and Studiodanse Montreal-Paris. 1225 St-Laurent, 6:30 p.m., $25/$20 in advance

After selling out Metropolis in recent years, Australian nu-psych superstars Tame Impala play their biggest Montreal show to date — at the Bell Centre! — with opener Benjamin Booker. 1909 Avenue des Canadiens de Montréal, 8 p.m., $44.50 to $72

Legendary Montreal industrial band Phÿcus have reformed to play a handful of shows, and tonight their grand finale happens as part of the Suoni per il Popolo festival — their recent show in Toronto was reportedly wild, so be ready to witness something very special. Openers include Monty Cansin (who will perform a solo set of his early material and then join Phÿcus onstage) — see a complete list and more show details here. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $8/$10

Among tonight’s free outdoor shows at the FrancoFolies festival is electro-pop trio Paupière (Scène Lapresse, Clark & Montigny, 9 p.m., free) and the rootsy folk rock sounds of Canailles with Bernard Adamus, Stephen Faulkner and Mononc’ Serge (Scène Bell, Place des Festivals, 9 p.m., free)

Party promoters Saintwoods and (A-Trak-founded) record label Fool’s Gold team up to present the fourth edition of their Family Matters party series, in conjunction with Mural Fest. On the music: CYBER69, Brat Star and Coach Vic. Apt. 200 (3643 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., cover charge unknown
