The McCord Museum hosts La Dolce Vita, an Italian-themed 5 à 9 in conjunction with the fashion-focused exhibition Eleganza – Italian Fashion from 1945 to today, featuring activities both inside and out in the adjacent outdoor summer installation, “The Urban Forest,” including bocce, temporary tattoos, special cocktails from Invasion Cocktail, snacks and chances to win prizes from Air Transat. 690 Sherbrooke W., 5–9 p.m., $20/$16 in advance (includes one drink)

Have fun on St-Laurent Blvd. (closed to traffic) with Mural Fest-related activities such as the Deserres Art Fair, with eight galleries showing works including Galerie C.O.A., Station 16, Artgang and Toronto’s #Hashtag Gallery (4310 St-Laurent, 11 a.m.–8 p.m., free), then have a drink on the Belmont Terrasse with an outdoor dance party featuring all-vintage soul and R&B tracks from Mess Around (4483 St-Laurent, 3–11 p.m., free), plus an evening double vernissage at Station 16 for the art shows Lucy Sparrow’s Erotic Emporium and UNION group show (3523 St-Laurent, 6–9 p.m., free)

Head to Cinéma du Parc for a special screening of I Am the Blues, a new film tracing the roots of delta blues through Louisiana and Mississippi and catching up with some of the region’s original blues musicians, many of whom continue to perform well into their 80s. Director Daniel Cross will be present for a Q&A following the screening. 3575 Parc, 7 p.m., $12.50

Tonight’s free Discovery Concert at Jardins Gamelin features a very solid line-up tonight with performances by electro-pop powerhouse APigeon and the retro-flavoured duo She-Devils. Berri & Ste-Catherine, 7 p.m., free

Suoni per il Popolo invites Brooklyn-based performance art duo FlucT to la Vitrola tonight to demonstrate their intense and “glitchy” participatory choreography along with musical contributions from Ylang Ylang and Così e Così, Nothinge, Ssurfacing and Kazuki Koga. 4602 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $8

Music Is My Sanctuary teams up with Croatia’s Dimensions Festival to welcome jazz-fusion house producer Byron the Aquarius to Montreal for the first time — he’s signed to Theo Parrish’s Sound Signature label and has been known to collaborate with Flying Lotus, who’s being recognized for bringing a new virtuosity to house music. Le Bleury–Bar à Vinyle (2109 Bleury), 9 p.m., $9 before midnight, $14 after

Following up on the success of the recent Cure vs. Depeche Mode dance party, Matahari Loft houses a New Order/Joy Division vs. Indochine dance party, playing classics and rarities by the titular bands as well as related work, selected by DJs Team Rocket and Mekanik Philippe. 1673 Mont-Royal E., 9 p.m., $5
