The Quebec fashion industry’s twice-annual showcase/shopping event la Braderie de la Mode Québécoise begins today and runs through Sunday, April 17, offering deals on samples and previous collections by local designers. Marché Bonsecours (325 de la Commune E.), free

Montreal’s urban culture magazine Urbania throws a party at the Museum of Fine Arts to launch their 43rd issue, with a special feature on 50 creative Quebecers to watch. 1380 Sherbrooke W., 6–9 p.m., $15 includes magazine and one drink.
