David Cronenberg’s classic Montreal-shot horror movies from the 1970s — Shivers and Rabid — are screening double-bill styles at le Ritz. Local musician/visionary Karneef plays a headlining gig at Phi Centre, with openers Naytronix (aka tUnE-yArDs bassist Nate Brenner) and Dylan III. 407 St-Pierre, 9 p.m., $10/$15

The second of three Jam for Justice shows at Cagibi happens tonight, with proceeds going to music-education-advocating initiative Musicall. On stage are local rock bands FoOlish, 4OH4, MOOCH and Smoke Rings. 5490 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $10/$12
