There aren’t too many figures in the art world bigger than curator and noted conversationalist Hans Ulrich Obrist, who drops by Galerie de l’UQAM tonight to open the Montreal iteration of his decades-spanning participatory project do it, for which a group of local artists were invited to interpret selected sets of instructions from the exhibition’s 23-year strong anthology in new ways, as well as develop new sets of instructions for other artists and exhibition attendees to follow, leading to unexpected and unpredictable results. 1400 Berri, #JR-120, 5:30 p.m., free

The Centaur’s theatre festival Wildside continues, and if you haven’t had a chance to see Tiny Bear Jaws Productions’ show Miss Katelyn’s Grade Threes Prepare for the Inevitable (at last summer’s Fringe or this month’s Wildside), it’s well worth a look. 453 St-Francois-Xavier, 9 p.m., $16/$13 students
