Head to the Mile End for a three-day pop-up vintage sale from I Heart Vintage, with plenty of vintage, secondhand and deadstock items to refresh your closet for the new year. 160 St-Viateur E., #200, 2–7 p.m., continues to Saturday

Here’s a different 5à7 option: Brown is a trio featuring two brothers at the forefront of Montreal’s hip hop scene: Snail Kid (Dead Obies) and Jam (K6A, Alaclair Ensemble), along with their father, roots reggae musician Robin Kerr. This evening they’re doing a soft launch (no performance) for their already critically acclaimed self-titled album at le Bleury Bar à Vinyle. 2109 Bleury, 5 p.m.

Howl! Arts Collective and CKUT team up to host a show at the Plant featuring a solo harp performance from Sarah Pagé plus Rêves Sonores (Stefan Christoff and Nick Schofield) and electroacoustics from Markus Floats. Secret Location, 8:30 p.m., $10/PWYC

Pin-up photographer Frank Lam shows off his best work with Frank Lam’s Hideaway, an exhibition at the Wiggle Room that features performances from several of the burlesque stars whose likenesses were captured by Lam for the photo series including Audrey Ivory, Magenta Haze, Ruby Rhapsody, Fairy Floss and Lily Monroe — all of whom will also be on hand afterwards to autograph your prints. 3874 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $25/$20 in advance

Transplanted Montreal comic John Hastings (now based in the U.K.) returns to the place where it all began a decade ago — ComedyWorks — for a two-night stand and comedy-album recording as part of Brunch Club’s monthly stand-up showcase, beginning tonight. Be prompt for opener Steve Patrick Adams. 1238 Bishop, 8:30 p.m., $15

Poirier, Mr. Touré and Kyou move their monthly Qualité de Luxe DJ night to St-Hubert Plaza’s Artgang space, where soca, Afropop and dancehall gems will be ringing out all night. 6524 St-Hubert, 10 p.m., free before 11 p.m./$7
