2015 Giller Prize winner André Alexis stops by Drawn & Quarterly to read from his award-winning novel Fifteen Dogs, which follows a group of otherwise normal pooches who are granted human levels of intelligence by a pair of experimenting higher powers. 211 Bernard W., 7 p.m., free

KickDrum’s Winter Marathon continues with SIX different shows tonight, but a couple of our favourite line-ups include Nanimal, Smokes, Hoan and No Aloha at Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $10) and Fleece with Clay & Friends and Raveen at Reggie’s (1455 de Maisonneuve W., 9 p.m., $8).
