Join the Concordia Co-op Bookstore for a meet & greet with Assigned Male comic creator Sophie Labelle for the hometown launch of the print collection of Labelle’s gender affirming web comic that follows a young trans girl as she navigates daily life at home and the schoolyard. 2150 Bishop, 7 p.m., free

Montreal’s restaurant operators are banding together for a new initiative called Nouveaux Voisins to support RIVO, an organization that provides services to newly arrived refugees of all nationalities. Participating restaurants — including Sumac, Joe Beef, Nora Gray, Grumman 76, Loïc, Honey Martin and many more — will keep donation boxes in house, and the project launches with a benefit show tonight at Turbo Haus featuring John Jacob Magistery and Beat Cops. 5011 Notre-Dame W., 8 p.m., $15
