St-Henri’s Deli Sokolow is embracing the longtime Jewish tradition of eating Chinese food on Christmas by preparing Chinese treats for the Christmas-avoiders, plus films screening all day long. 4350 Notre-Dame W., 10 a.m.–10 p.m., free entry

East End hangout Le musée de l’absurde hosts a Christmas day party to “celebrate the birth of our saviour, Justin Trudeau,” complete with video games, cribbage, films, beer and other fun activities. 1803 St-Christophe, 2 p.m. til late, free entry

Statik Movmnt throws a Zeitgeist party at Play with Spanish DJ D-Formation, alongside Veronika & Oliver and Ohm Hourani, with live painting from Pop Up Art Montreal with seven artists including Maliciouz, Patricia Klimov, Olivier Dumoulin and more. 1450 Ste-Catherine E., 10 p.m., $15/$10 in advance

Plateau rock ’n’ roll nightclub Rockette hosts its seventh annual Xmas Day party, Noël Drôle à la Rockette, with DJs Bourgeois and Roxy Moron and gifts for everyone. 4479 St-Denis, 10 p.m., free
