This evening, the festival founded to boost Montreal’s music scene revealed the programming of its 10th edition, happening Nov. 1821.

You may have already heard that synth-pop star Grimes is making a long-awaited return to the city she used to call home, playing Metropolis on Nov. 21, but she’s not the only international electronic act playing M this year: Scottish producer/DJ Hudson Mohawke (half of TNGHT with Montreal’s Lunice) is returning to Montreal a few months after his set at Osheaga on Aug. 1, and Philly DJ RJD2 (who composed the theme for Mad Men, incidentally) is playing in support of his album with soul singer STS, which was released in the spring.

In terms of local acts, which continue to make up the bulk of M’s programming, electronic artists Beat Market, Das Mortal and le Matos will play, vocal electro-pop/rock acts APigeon, Doldrums, Kroy, Milk & Bone, Foxtrott and Technical Kidman, indie pop and rock bands Birds of Paradise, Country, the Dears, Duchess Says, Foreign Diplomats, the Franklin Electric, Look Vibrant, Nancy Pants, Our Book & the Authors, Pang Attack, She-Devils, le Trouble, Wake Island and We Are Wolves, rappers les Anticipateurs, Eman X Vlooper, Heartstreets, Hua Li, Loud Lary Ajust and the Posterz, DJs Cherry Cola, Kris Guilty and RYAN Playground, DJ/producers Dr. MaD, J.u.D. and Walla P and afro-electro artist Pierre Kwenders.

Here’s an alphabetical-ish (by first name) list of all the acts playing M for Montreal this year:
