Head to Place des Festivals at lunchtime and be among the first to try out the interactive installation Maëstro, which gives you the chance to manipulate the esplanade’s fountain using a conductor’s wand. Montreal Symphony Orchestra assistant conductor Dina Gilbert will be on hand to launch the installation, along with food trucks and a chance to win tickets to a classical performance during this week’s Classical Spree festival. Today’s Under Pressure programming includes a special Vinyl Exploration edition of their conversation series Off the Record at Théâtre Sainte Catherine, featuring a musical ride through the  history of jazz and hip hop with the Jazz Amnesty Sound System, flanked by scratch sessions and DJ sets from Killa Jewel, Lady Special K and Lexis. 264 Ste-Catherine E., 5–11 p.m., $5, with proceeds going to support arts scholarships in memory of longtime Under Pressure volunteer Sharon McGoogan.

Séripop art duo Chloe Lum and Yannick Desranleau (formerly of the band AIDS Wolf) present a choreographed performance tonight at the Darling Foundry’s terrasse, Place Publique, exploring the connections between bodies and objects in space. 745 Ottawa, 7 p.m., free
