The Under Pressure festival has been going for a few days now, but things really kick into high gear today, with Ste-Catherine Street closed to traffic between Berger and Ste-Elisabeth for the whole weekend. Head to the UP zone for live graffiti, bboys/bgirls, skateboarding, MCs and vendors reppin’ local labels. Ste-Catherine E., between Berger and Ste-Elisabeth, 10 a.m.–11 p.m., free

The middle day of the Heavy Montreal festival brings Iggy Pop to the main stage, just before Faith No More (so you can totally beat the crowd and leave early. Also on today are Deafheaven, Rocket From the Crypt, Runaways alumnus Lita Ford and many more. See the full line-up here. Parc Jean-Drapeau, 1–11 p.m., $85 (single day ticket)

Spend the afternoon on the rooftop terrasse of the B-Side Bar with summertime BBQ Daydream with today’s edition hosted by DL Jones and featuring food from Dirty Dogs and tunes by DJs Seb Diamond, Kyle Kalma, Guilty, Sexlife, Tronald Trump and Rob Clarke. 3616 St-Laurent, 3–10 p.m., $5

If you’re in the area of the Rosemont viaduct, you can check out the kickoff event for VHS (Van Horne Station), a joint project from Cuisine de Rue, Piknic Élektronic and Mural Fest with an installation by HoarKor,  live painting by Omen, Kevin Ledo and Zoltan plus music by Poirier, Pierre Kwenders, J.u.D. and Yung Bambii. 5795 de Gaspé, 4–11 p.m., $10

Cinémania’s outdoor screening series continues with Tristesse Club, a 2014 French road-movie comedy starring Laurent Lafitte and Ludivine Saigner (with English subtitles). Parc Jean-Brillant (Decelles / Jean-Brillant), 8:30 p.m. free

Film POP presents an outdoor screening of the old-school hip hop classic Krush Groove, a loose biopic of the early years of Def Jam Records featuring talents like Kurtis Blow, Run DMC, Sheila E and the Fat Boys. DJ Andy Williams spins from 5 p.m. Outside 5635 St-Dominique, screening at 8:45 p.m.

Spice up your life with the sublime ‘90s nostalgia that is the Spice Girls Burlesque show at the Wiggle Room, starring Lou Lou la Duchesse du Rière, Tristan Ginger and more, hosted by Connie Lingua. 3874 St-Laurent, 11:45 p.m., $25/$20 in advance
