If you love the buttery, flaky crescent-shaped pastry, you’re in luck because today is La Fête du Croissant, a day-long celebration where bakeries all over town are offering their version for just $1 each. Check the official website for participating bakeries. Various locations, all day long.

Last weekend’s Record Store Day was all about new exclusives and pricey reissues, but today’s Record Convention, hosted by Beatnick Records, should offer more substance for serious crate-diggers. 5035 St-Dominique, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. $5

Head to the Main to visit t-shirt silkscreeners Montréalité one last time before they close up shop. Expect steep discounts on the shirts depicting some of Montreal’s best-known icons and a festive atmosphere. David Bowie is the inspiration behind the Wiggle Room’s Bowie Burlesque, appearing tonight for one performance only with stars Esther De Ville, Lou Lou la Duchesse de Riere, Elle Diabloe and more. 3874 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $20$25

The second monthly comedy show by the Brunch Club is happening tonight at Théâtre Sainte Catherine, with Toronto-via-Halifax comedian Mark Little headlining. 264 Ste-Catherine E., shows at 8 and 10  p.m., $15
