Fresh Paint Gallery teams up with HEC to present a panel discussion on Art & Entrepreneurship at tonight’s edition of Off the Record. 221 Ste-Catherine E., 7 p.m., $2

The Sommets du cinéma d’animation festival kicks off tonight at the Cinémathèque Québécoise with a screening of the Latvian film Rocks in My Pockets335 de Maisonneuve E., 7:30 p.m., $10/$9 students/seniors

Local act Jon Cohen Experimental launches the Passion Pilgrim EP. (If you don’t know his music, you may know Cohen as the founder of the One Man Band Festival.) The show doubles as a pre-European tour kick-off. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., PWYC

Life After Death From Above 1979, a documentary about the Toronto dance-punk duo (who are playing Metropolis tomorrow night) screens at Phi Centre. Director Eva Michon and the band members will be in attendance for a Q&A moderated by Michael-Oliver Harding. Phi Centre (407 St-Pierre), 8 p.m., $11.25

And the afterparty for that screening is happening at Luwan, with music by Après Ski, Prison Garde and special guest DJs (guess who?). 1050 Clark, 10 p.m., free
