St. Lucia

South African-born, Brooklyn-based singer and ’80s enthusiast Jean-Philip Grobler is better known as St. Lucia. If you’re not familiar with his sound (and didn’t catch him and his synth/groove ensemble at Osheaga this year), check out the video below.

St. Lucia is playing the Corona Theatre (2490 Notre-Dame W.) tonight, Monday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m.. Tickets cost $22 in advance and $25 at the door. The opening act is NYC electro-pop duo the Knocks — see a video by them below as well.

Courtesy of Evenko, we have one pair of tickets to this show to give away. All you’ve got to do to enter the contest is email info@cultmontreal.com before 2 p.m. today (Monday, Nov. 17) with “St. Lucia” in the subject line. We’ll select a winner at random and inform them by 2:30 p.m. Good luck! ■
