PHOTOS: A booze lover’s paradise

La Grande Dégustation, the annual wine and spirits tasting at Place Bonaventure, is happening tonight and all day Saturday. This year the festival is showcasing wines from South Africa, along with the country’s staple liqueur (Amarula).

We stopped in this afternoon to grab photos of some of the most interesting products and knock back a few samples. Luckily there are emergency baskets of complimentary sliced baguette at a lot of the booze tables (as well as charcuterie and other snacks available to purchase) to help steady your legs for the voyage home — we do not advocate driving or cycling to this thing.
