Ping Pong tables, fusball, food, drink, hockey on TV — this is what’s happening at 5788 St-Laurent in Montreal, the space that formerly housed popular LGBT-oriented bar/club/restaurant Royal Phoenix.

The Ping Pong Club, owned by the same people behind Salon Officiel and Mme Lee, had its official opening last night.  The menu is dominated by comfort food items like meatball sandwiches, poutine galvaude (hot chicken) and alphabet soup, while the fully stocked bar offers a number of its cocktails in slush format — see the full menu here.

Though the space isn’t a nightclub per se, nighthawks will be happy to note that it’s open from 11 a.m. till 3 a.m. every day. ■
