The Queer Between the Covers Book Fair brings a wide range of LGBT lit to the Comité Social Centre Sud, as part of Pervers/Cité alt-pride week. 1710 Beaudry, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Day two of Evenko’s dance music/hip hop fest Ile Soniq packs in a wide range of electronic styles, from Infected Mushroom’s psytrance to Three 6 Mafia alum Juicy J to Young Money rapper Tyga to local Belmont residents Henward & Vilify. If the weather drives you indoors, get to le Bleury – Bar à Vinyle for an afternoon of fresh beats from River Lance, CRi and the Rawsoul at les Beats 006, where you can also try your hand at some indie video games from Gros Joueurs. 2109 Bleury, 2–8 p.m., free

Dream pop don’t stop. Check out Toronto-based, PEI-bred quintet Alvvays at la Vitrola with openers J Fernandez and Los. 4602 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $13
