Return of the Living Dead

Check out the street sale on Mont-Royal Avenue, one of the few this weekend that’s not affiliated with the Grand Prix.

If you’ve got siblings, kids, nieces or nephews who are old enough to appreciate books, head over to Drawn & Quarterly for Kids’ Day, an afternoon of presentations by local authors and illustrators, featuring beautiful books from Comme des géants and Enchanted Lion Books. 211 Bernard W., 3 p.m., free

Zombie Walk! Throw on your best dirty, ripped clothes and decomposition make-up and join your kind in a group walk through the F1 business on St-Laurent and over to Tam-Tams. Departing from Eva B (2015 St-Laurent), 3 p.m.

In an affiliated event in the southwest, a fundraiser for Head & Hands, the Grindhouse crew present an outdoor screening of Return of the Living Dead, with make-up artists, zombie drinking games and performances by Montreal Improv’s all-stars and the Mighty Swells. Terrasse St-Ambroise (5080 St-Ambroise), 6 p.m., $10

Tonight at the Suoni per il Popolo festival, on till June 22, it’s an enormous night of experimental electronic music. See the full line-up here, and see our festival highlights here. La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $10
