The Friends of Parc Oxygène organization won’t give up the ghost on their (freshly bulldozed) green alley in the McGill Ghetto, site of future condos. Organizers of today’s “love-in” are asking that people “bring flowers, artwork, sculptures, music, banners, your imagination!” 3685 Hutchison, 3–5 p.m.

It’s all gays, grilling and boozing at Alexandraplatz’s Homo Platz BBQ. 6731 Esplanade (@Waverly), 4–9 p.m., bar open till midnight

Tonight at the Jazz Fest, get yer vintage with Montreal’s Vic Vogel and his Big Band (L’Astral, 305 Ste-Catherine W., 6 p.m., $45.55) or contemporary with neo-folk act Benjamin Clementine, who recently played live at the Burberry fashion show in London (Club Soda, 1225 St-Laurent, 7 p.m., $26.50). See more Jazz Fest suggestions here and here, and check out our interview with Vogel here.

Nantha Kumar hosts another Nouveau Malais night at Nouveau Palais in Mile End. These Sunday-night servings of his famous Thai and Malaysian cuisine have been happening every Sunday since the beginning of May, but we’re not sure if this will continue into July, so the time to dig in may be now. 281 Bernard W., 6 p.m.

Brooklyn band Teen, feat. Here We Go Magic’s Teeny Lieberson and her sisters, play Il Motore. 179 Jean-Talon W., 9 p.m., $10
