The Montreal Fringe Festival kicks off with Fringe-for-All, rapid-fire two-minute teasers from every local company performing at the fest. Café Campus (57 Prince-Arthur E.), 7 p.m., free

Toronto pianist, songwriter and eccentric artist Chilly Gonzales tickles some ivories and presides over a master class. Phi Centre (407 St-Pierre), 7 p.m., $10

Antigone Sr. — a meeting of Greek myth and drag queens set in the ’60s, choreographed by NYC’s Trajal Harrell, begins its three-day run at the Festival TransAmériques. See details in our interview with Harrell, here. Usine C (1345 Lalonde), 8 p.m., $43/$38 for under 30/over 65
