Record Swap Day

Hit the vernissage for punk rock-inspired group exhibit Ras le Bol, featuring work by seven artists, some of whom will perform throughout the evening. We recommend sticking around for Bobo Boutin’s grand finale at neighbouring Studio 303 at 8 p.m. Skol (372 Ste-Catherine W. #314), 5:30 p.m.

Les Enfants Sauvages, a local studio that works with fabrics from different cultures and eras, launch a new clothing line called PÉ14 with a party feat. music by a DJ and a surprise live act. Espace Projet art contemporain + design (353 Villeray), 7–9 p.m.

It’s Record Swap Day! Bring your decent doubles or unwanted records to exchange with other vinyl junkies, and choose from the piles of records being donated by local shops, with a DJ, two bands and hockey, too. Details here. Cabaret Playhouse (5656 Parc), 7 p.m., free

A new local record label called Multi Culti, showcasing underground music from around the world, launches with a spring fertility pachanga party at Salon Daomé. See more about the event and label in our interview with co-founder Thomas Von Party, here. 141 Mont-Royal E., 7–3 a.m. p.m.

It wouldn’t be Easter weekend without a little sacrilege, and tonight that comes in the form of Black Snake Circus’s Cabaret Freak Show, an alternative telling/showing of the crucifixion tale. The Wiggle Room (3874 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $20/$25

Get your fix of trap, R&B, dancehall, bass and future club music at Hydromatic, with resident DJ Cadence Weapon and special guest Gucchi Babe. Royal Phoenix (5788 St-Laurent), 10 p.m.
