Australian rappeuse Iggy Azalea has teamed up with British pop singer Charli XCX on her forthcoming single, produced by the Invisible Men (the guys behind Azalea’s “Work”) and mixed by Anthony Kilhoffer. It’s only out April 6, but you can have a listen here:

Toronto/Montreal “dark new agers” Doomsquad, who play Il Motore tomorrow night, sandwiched between Weeknight and Mekele, have just released a new record (Kalaboogie) via Hand Drawn Dracula.
 

 

Pif Paf Hangover, “Whatever Works”

 
Local indie pop band Pif Paf Hangover will release their debut LP, Curry Love, via Good People Records on March 18, and play a launch show at Cabaret du Mile End on March 20. Have a listen here:
 

 

The Julie Ruin, “Goodnight, Goodbye”

 
Former Bikini Kill/le Tigre frontwoman Kathleen Hanna is back in action, reviving a short-lived solo side project and fleshing it out with a backing band. The Julie Ruin have released an album called Run Fast, and a new video, directed by Sally Cinnamon and shot on Super 8 in Olympia Washington. Check it out here:
 

 

Xiu Xiu, “Stupid in the Dark”

 
Xiu Xiu, who recently released a new album, called Angel Guts: Red Classroom, just postponed their entire North American tour due to singer Jamie Stewart’s throat problems. But we can still revel in their harshness via this music video, directed by Amir Shoucri.
 

 

Owen Pallet, In Conflict LP trailer

 
Toronto’s Owen Pallett, who’s apparently living in Montreal these days, has signed to local label Secret City. They’ll release his next album, In Conflict (feat. Brian Eno), on May 13, and there’ll be a local launch show on May 9 at la Sala Rossa. Also, he’s nominated for an Oscar. Anyway, check out this album trailer:
