The PHI Centre present an Asghar Farhadi double-feature starting with the award-winning A Separation at 5 p.m., followed by an advance screening of his latest, The Past, at 7:30 p.m. 407 St-Pierre, $6.25/$11.25 

Aidan Pontarini presents a collection of his bright, trippy paintings and sculpture in Death Is Short, Life Is Long, opening with a vernissage tonight. Galerie LOCK (135 Van Horne), 7–10 p.m., free
