Peace Park turned 19 this weekend

Peace Park, one of Montreal’s most recognizable skate spots, turned 19 this weekend. To celebrate, a bunch of dudes skated and drank beer.

Nineteen years is a long time for a skate spot. But this Saturday, Peace Park, a square on the lower Main known for its ledges and stairs, marked its nineteenth birthday. To celebrate, David Bouthillier, who probably spends more time there than anyone, threw a party that included a skate contest, free beer, cake and performances by Full Course and others. Here’s what things looked like on a cold Saturday afternoon.
