Mell

A critical mass of cyclists might not save the Arctic on its own, but it will (hopefully) draw attention to the climate change that threatens the region. So don your finest black and blue duds (Arctic-themed colors, apparently), and get your two-wheeled protest on. Parc Laurier (Laurier and Mentana), 2 p.m.

Check in at the launch of Detuned Transmissions, a new local record label specializing in experimental electronic music. Daat (Jason oS & Joe Mnemonic) will DJ (as will Alain Traffic) and release a 12-inch single on clear vinyl, for sale at the show. Soundcentral (4486 Coloniale), 3:30 p.m., free

Savour some sophisticated electro-rockabilly from France in the form of Mell, who launches her new record Relation Cheap at Divan Orange, with opener Douce Angoisse. 4234 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $10

Dulgar’s Dangerous Comedy Show happens tonight at Bar Bifteck, featuring Kate Connor, Brad MacDonald, Rena Hundert and more. 3702 St-Laurent, 8 p.m.
