In its fifth year, Montreal’s Oyster Fest threw its biggest party yet down at the Old Port, on Terrasses Bonsecours Island.

There was food (lots of it, oysters aside, c/o such local restaurants as Garde Manger, Grinder, Imadake, l’Orignal, Kyo and Taverne Monkland), drinks poured by the staffs of Burgundy Lion and Philemon, a shucking competition and more.

In addition, 100 per cent of proceeds went to the Open Pier Foundation, a non-profit organization on a mission to “promote the sustainability of aquatic life.”

Photographer Saverio Mirarchi Jr. captured the Oyster Fest in Montreal for Cult MTL.
