Here’s what’s playing at Film Pop

Here is the Film Pop line-up for this year’s Pop Montreal festival.

Persistence of Vision

Yesterday afternoon Pop Montreal announced the various line-ups for their festival, which runs Wednesday, Sept. 25–Sunday, Sept. 29. What’s in store for Film Pop does not disappoint as the fest is filled with underground gems and some stellar music documentaries .

It’s also good to note that they’ll be offering a FIlm Pop pass for $45, which includes all of the film screenings except the Hack Your Own… workshop. Here’s the line-up:

Voices From Beyond: The EVP Project
Wednesday, Sept. 25–Sunday, Sept. 29

Vernissage: Wednesday, Sept. 25, 5 p.m.

An installation piece that addresses the concept of Electronic Voice Phenomenon: the process of using technological apparatuses to allow for communication with the spirit world or with alternate dimensions.

Audio High Rise – Installation

Experimental/found footage film loops and a series of still images that form a critique of the evolution of audio-visual technology and a sense of dystopian “future shock.”
