The Montreal International Documentary Festival (RIDM) presents Sylvain L’Espérance’s Sur le rivage du monde — a documentary that follows exiles in Bamako, Mali who find hope in art — as part of Cinéma sous les étoiles. At the PHI Centre, see a screening of Jordan Vogt-Roberts’s The Kings of Summer, about three friends spending the summer living off the land, and then head to the 14th Annual Animations Show of Shows, presented by Ron Diamond. 407 St-Pierre, 7:30 p.m. & 9:15 p.m., $11.25 for the film, the animation show is free
