The Montreal Turkish Film Festival continues, showcasing some of the best and most recent films from Turkey. Cinéma du Parc (3575 Parc); the award-winning film Can begins at 7 p.m., $12

The two-day Anarchist Theatre Fest opens today. Can catch five short political theatre pieces over three hours, presented as part of the month-long Festival of Anarchy. La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent), 7:30 p.m., $12

It’s day two of the Montreal Sketch Comedy Festival, where you can take in five sketches from troupes from all over — well, Toronto and Montreal, mostly. Tonight, catch 52 Pickup, Twinkie Twins, Skit-ish, Genius Gold and Fratwurst. Théâtre Ste-Catherine (264 Ste-Catherine E.), 8 p.m., $12
