Montreal’s beloved annual Anarchist Bookfair has expanded this year. Today’s the vernissage for the fair’s exhibit, Art & Anarchy, dedicated, of course, to works reflecting on political thought and action. CEDA, third floor (2515 Delisle), 5–9 p.m., free

There’s a free screening of experimental transmedia film Cosmonaut and a Google hangout with director Nicolás Alcalá at Concordia. 1395 René-Lévesque, VA-114, 5 p.m., free

FTA presents Australian artist Bennett Miller’s Dachshund UN, an installation and performance that recreates a scale model of the UN populated by, yup, adorable dachshunds. Place des Festivals (Jeanne Mance & President Kennedy), 6 p.m. (weather permitting), free

Over at the PHI Centre, there’s a screening of three episodes of Fishing with John, John Lurie’s super funny — and super weird — television series. As an added bonus, John Lurie will be on hand for a Q&A session. 407 St-Pierre, 8 p.m. $23.50 screening and Q&A/$12.50 screening only

The One Man Band Festival continues tonight with primo electro-pop producer Montag, Echo Beach and Insect Ark. Divan Orange (4234 St-Laurent), 9:30 p.m., $12

Atlanta’s Blunt Fang, Hua Li, STEVEJR, Institutional Prostitution, Party Party Party, Bus and River Lance, Babi Audi and Tommy Kruise are at la Brique. Hunt down the address online, 10 p.m.
