The Greenpeace-sponsored Montreal Environment Film Festival launches with a screening of the subtly titled Greedy Lying Bastards, an exposé of the corporate forces in opposition to climate change science. Cinéma du Parc (3575 Parc), 2 p.m., $11.50

Myriam Tapp’s Memoire d’une ville, a series of thin, fragile, translucent, empty, almost abandoned and improbable house sculptures, has its vernissage at les Territoires. 372 Ste-Catherine W. #527, 3 p.m.
