Sky Ferreira, at Sala tonight

People, today marks one of the year’s holiest and most sacred holidays: International Waffle Day. To celebrate, Engaufrez-vous is offering up free sweet or savoury waffles all day, effectively ending Mondays’ long-standing association with terribleness. 8 Rachel E., 10 a.m.–5 p.m.

Check out a screening of I am not a hipster, a film chronicling creativity in the face of tragedy in the San Diego scene. PHI Centre (407 St-Pierre), 7:30 p.m., $11.50

Singing/ songwriting/ acting/ modelling little charmer Sky Ferreira and shadowy electro-R&B bro How to Dress Well bring down la Sala Rossa. Check back here tomorrow for a show review and photos. 4848 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $20

Smart hard rock, grungy hardcore and raggedy indie are in the cards as Native, les Guenilles and Carpet play l’Esco, the latter a supergroup of sorts feat. members of the Expectorated Sequence, Royaume des Morts and Greg Cocaine. 4467 St-Denis, 9 p.m.
