Baby, it’s cold outside, and there’s no better time to invest in kink. All weekend long, head to the Salon de l’amour et de la séduction, where you can attend workshops, chat with fetish enthusiasts and sexxxy stars, visit an on-site dungeon or 50 Shades of Grey playroom, or shop for lingerie, sex toys and other objects to put in your butt. Place Bonaventure (800 de la Gauchetière), 5 p.m.–1 a.m., $15–$20

It’s art’s birthday! The grizzled bastard is turning a respectable 50,000+ today, and to celebrate there will be live music (by Cinéma l’Amour, Ought, Loosestrife and Pop Talk), art-makin’ by Cam Novak, spoken-word performances by CKUT Circuit Workshop and Katalyst 5, along with other fun stuff, including a rumoured kissin’ booth. Brasserie Beaubien (73 Beaubien E.), vernissage 5 p.m., $5, performances 9 p.m., $7/$10 with cake

Tonight’s your one and only chance to check out Hub Session, the fruit of a lengthy collaboration between selected Chinese, Belgian and Québécois artists drawn from a variety of fields to work together in an international residency. The performance is transdisciplinary, fusing sound, visual art and theatrical performances alongside a “cosmological score.” Eastern Bloc (7240 Clark, 2nd floor), 7 p.m., free

The ladies and gents of Candyass Cabaret offer up their monthly evening of burlesque, vaudeville, circus, lounge and other vintage eye candy. Café Cléopâtre (1230 St-Laurent, 2nd floor), 10 p.m., $10

Tokyo’s 15th anniversary DJ series brings in hip hop legend Ali Shaheed Muhammad (A Tribe Called Quest), backed by residents Truspin and Goldenchild. Tokyo Bar (3709 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., $5

Club Roll and Pop bring Karneef, Jake Finne, Tii Dii and DJs Cadence Weapon & Thom Gillies to Honduran café Kathy & Kimy. 44 Beaubien W., 10 p.m., $5/$10
