Mark Remembrance Day by visiting a Mini-Exhibition of objects that recall and celebrate the sacrifices made by Canadians in the first World War. Stewart Museum (20 ch. du Tour-de-l’Isle), 11 a.m.–5 p.m., $13/$10

It’s the D&Q store’s 5th birthday! To celebrate, catch graphic novel superstars Chris Ware, Adrian Tomine and Charles Burns in conversation, plus a chance to ask the artists your own questions and a signing session. Ukrainian Federation (5213 Hutchison), 7 p.m., $5

Celebrate the life of hip hop promoter and founder of Escape Entertainment, Matt Dutch Garner, by attending the tribute show in his honour tonight at Le Belmont. There promises to be a host of performances by Montreal hip hop and spoken word royalty, as well as signature beverages, games of dominos and a new line of Success Clothing hoodies designed in Garner’s honour. 4483 St-Laurent, 7 p.m., $15

Hit up some hot GAMIQ (Gala Alternatif de la Musique Indépendante du Québec) indie-music award show action tonight, with live performances from Solids, Rouge Pompier, Les Soeurs Boulay, Ponctuation, BP Black Piranha, Saxyndrums, Cheesecake Ninja, Robert Nelson & Kaytranada and more. Plaza Theatre (6505 St-Hubert), 7 p.m., $18

If you’ve still got some juice left in the old batteries after the Gala, head to the GAMIQ afterparty where you can sing punk rock karaoke ’till you’re blue in the face! L’Escogriffe (4467 St-Denis), 10 p.m.
