BACK TO SCHOOL TACOS: Baby, the other white meat (OK, not really)
Photos from Grumman 78’s Facebook page

Learn to jive for free as part of this weekend’s Red Hot and Blue Rockabilly Festival. Noon’s for beginners, 1:45 for intermediately skilled dancers and 3:30 for the show-offs. Studio Metronome (4557 St-Laurent #300), 12 p.m., free

Get out of the city and head to Lavaltrie for Pouzza Pelouzza, a new punk fest featuring Anti-Flag, Planet Smashers, Dig It Up, Vulgaires Machins and more. Lavaltrie, 1–11 p.m., $20–25

Experience la dolce vita at the see-and-be-seen Bicycle Film Festival, where fashion, film and sweet vintage rides come together to mingle. Jeanne-Mance park at Duluth and Esplanade, 1 p.m., free (+ free beer, so get there early)

Taco truck kings Grumman 78 feed the masses at their St-Henri HQ as part of one of their legendary taco parties. They’re kind of a big deal, so be prepared to wait in line — but go anyway, because it’s delicious and oodles of fun. Grumman 78, 630 de Courcelle (metro St-Henri), 1 p.m.

Yashijuro Ozu’s Tokyo Story, recently voted the very best film of all time in a critics’ poll, screens at Cinéma du Parc. 3575 Parc, 3 p.m.

Eat a burger! Burger Week kicks off today and participants are encouraged to dine on some of the city’s best burgers in a decidedly socially interactive way, as we explained here. Sept. 1–7, various participating locations, $5–15/burger

The intriguingly titled Canadian comedy Please Kill Mr. Know It All screens at the Festival des films du monde. Cinéma Quartier Latin (350 Emery), 5 p.m.

Go see Public Enemy. The end. Expérience Montréal, Olympic Park (metro Pie-IX), set time 9:15 p.m., $0–12
