Watch New Zealand’s Ladyhawke resurrect ’80s power pop, with support from Computer Magic. SAT (1201 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., $20.44 (Keep an eye on our Twitter for a ticket giveaway at 11:30 a.m.)

Get glammed up ‘40s-style at the Vintage Hair & Makeup workshop, offered as part of Montreal Burlesque Month. 227 Notre Dame W., 5-9 p.m., $90

Dominique Pétrin used to blow minds with freak-rockers Les Georges Leningrad. Now she melts them with her visual art. Catch the vernissage for her latest show, GALA, at Arprim in the Belgo Building. 372 Ste-Catherine W., #426,  5:30-9:30 p.m.

Sometimes comedy is comedy, and sometimes it’s a bloodsport. Check out tonight’s ultra-competitive improv smackdown for the latter. Montreal Improv Theatre (3713 St-Laurent, #202), 8 p.m., $8

You could watch A Clockwork Orange at home while lying on the couch in your underwear. Or you could watch it with the original droog, Malcolm McDowell, introducing it. Choose wisely. Palais des congrès (1001 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle), room 510-AC, 9:15 p.m., $17

Did you know that Spike plays guitar? Yeah, yeah, he’s done post-Buffy stuff, but, uh, hello! It’s Spike playing guitar! Palais des congrès (1001 Place Jean-Paul-Riopelle), main conference hall, 9:30 p.m., $10

If you leave the house only once this week, let it be for the Cult MTL party tonight! DJs Toboggan, Parklife, Brace, Salivation Army and members of the Cult MTL team will be spinning tracks. The rest of us will be drinking. Il Motore (179 Jean-Talon W.), 9:30 p.m., $5/PWYC
